Bodega Head Day

I was teaching a lot in 2010 and this small painting was done as a demo. It was during this time that I was starting to formulate my artists statement. What kind of landscapes did I want to paint? What drew me to these locations. I was subconsciously starting to discover the Mythic qualities of landscape. The people who were buying these paintings were telling me how they connected to this place and the memories that were forged there that made a significant marker for their lives and identity.
